SUMMARY:Anana Kaye - Big River Theatre
DESCRIPTION:Anana Kaye is a Georgian-American singer-songwriter and multidisciplinary artist based in Nashville\, Tennessee. Blending elements of Americana and alternative music\, Anana’s songs are intimate yet expansive\, driven by a husky\, arresting vocal style and a deep attention to lyric. She works in close collaboration with Irakli Gabriel\, her longtime creative partner and a Georgian-American musician and producer. \nGrowing up in a culture rich with deep musical traditions\, Kaye was profoundly influenced by the storytelling nature of Georgian music. That influence continues to shape her work\, particularly in the intricate nature of her arrangements\, melodies\, and vocal harmonies. \nAnana released her debut EP Sentient in 2016\, followed by her full-length album Detour in 2019. 2021 marked the release of Whispers And Sighs\, a collaboration with Americana pioneer David Olney. DESCRIPTION:Musical missionary and tireless troubadour Jack Klatt isn’t one to be easily categorized or relegated to a narrow niche. Yet\, his artistic integrity extends to more than simply his songs. It embodies both execution and intent. The way he’s mastered his deft finger-picking technique and used that sturdy approach to bring his material an authenticity reminiscent of the most revered musicians and storytellers. \nA product of the nation’s heartland\, Klatt was born and bred in the twin cities. He dropped out of college before spending the next six years pursuing his wanderlust and hitch hiking across the country with nothing but a backpack and a Martin guitar. He eventually made his way overseas\, where he slept under the stars\, traded songs for spending money and enjoyed a life typical of one who’s a drifter and bohemian. All the while\, he made it his mission to proffer the songs of the American masters\, in the process\, he found himself captivated by the full gamut of archetypical American music\, and began to refashion it to suit his own style.
